About me
👋 Hello! I’m Dr. Huy-Dzung Han, a lecturer and researcher at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST). For over 20 years, I’ve been guiding students through the journey of engineering — not only as a technical discipline, but as a way of thinking, solving, and contributing to society.
My research spans signal processing, wireless communications, and biomedical engineering, with a special focus on turning scientific insight into practical applications. Whether it’s health monitoring systems, IoT solutions, or embedded electronics, I approach each project through the lens of the engineering design process (EDP) — from identifying real-world problems to building, testing, and refining meaningful solutions.
I earned my Ph.D. from UC Davis as a VEF Fellow, and have since collaborated with leading companies and research institutions across the U.S., Japan, Germany, and Vietnam.
Beyond the lab, my dream is to help shape a new generation of problem-solvers — young people who are not only skilled in science and engineering, but who are confident in asking questions, working collaboratively, and turning ideas into impact. I believe EDP is not just for engineers — it’s a mindset that can empower students to start meaningful projects, launch their own ventures, and design a better future.
Thank you for visiting. If you’re passionate about education, innovation, and empowering the next generation, I’d love to connect.
